“From this moment we will set up the card of the event. At the main-events of the night we will have Raul Catinas against Brice Guidon, and Catalin Morosanu, who is a true legend in Romania and he wil face a real beast from Egypt, Mohamed “Hulk” Karim, an MMA specialist. Also, we will have the usual four-man in one night tournament, but different from last year, this time will be at light heavyweight. We decided to develop also another division for tournaments as middleweight (-71 kg), super middleweight (-78 kg), cruiserweight (-91 kg) and super cruiserweight (-95 kg). Also, I want to announce our pilot edition with MMA fights, but in this moment only as undercard”, said Mr. Eduard Irimia.
In the first tournament of the year will compete Errol Koning (Suriname), Ciprian Schiopu (Romania), Noureddine Echiguer (Morocco) and Dawid Kasperski (Poland). If Koning, Kasperski and Echiguer will make their debut in Superkombat Fighting Championship®, for Schiopu it’s the third time after he scored a loss and a win in last two bouts.
“It’s a big opportunity for our community to host such a big event as Superkombat World Grand Prix. We have also an agreement with Superkombat® board so the full incomes from tickets sales will be donated to the Olympic Boxing Center from Resita, but also to some social cases. Fans from all Romania, but also from Serbia will visit our town with this occasion”, said Mr. Mihai Stepanescu.
