Fight Code pit stops at Debrecen for last round of Rhinos final 16
The Fight Code Rhino Series final 16 round is set to finish this weekend, as the top tournament travels to Debrecen, Hungary on August 13th. The six-fight event will feature the final three bouts in the Rhino Series opening round, as well as three prestige fights boasting names such as Vitaly Akhramenko, Chingiz Allazov, and Philippe Salmon.
Pacome Assi will meet up with Luca Panto of Italy in the first Rhino Series bout of the evening. The bout will be a major opportunity for Assi, who looks to regain form after a recent loss to Romanian prospect Bogdan Stoica. The French kick boxer will not have an easy opponent in Luca Panto, however.
The other two Rhino Series bouts of the evening will see Croatia's Vjekoslav Bajic take on K-1 veteran Petr Vondracek and Russian fighter Mihail Tuterev meet local fighter Gyorgy Mihalik.
Vitaly Akhramenko will take on Ivan Stanic in perhaps the most highly anticipated prestige bout of the evening. Akhramenko, whose Fight Code record now stands at 2-0, qualified for the Rhino Series Final 8 back in February and defeated Gyorgy Mihalik in May. Meanwhile, Ivan Stanic is a current WBC Muay Thai titleholder with a win earlier this year over Dutch striker Rodney Glunder.
Philippe Salmon will return to Fight Code in a prestige bout against Barna Szucs. The last time that Salmon appeared under the Fight Code banner, he was stopped by Alessandro Campagna at the Fight Code Dragons Series Round 2 event in March. As for Barna Szucs, he'll certainly be the underdog against Salmon, but this is a big opportunity for the veteran fighter from Re-Gym in Hungary.
